How match scores work

100 points. No black box. Here's where every one comes from.

The 100 points

Role

35

From: Your Scout

Does the job title match a role you picked? Exact title gets full points, a common variant gets most, a closely related role gets some.

Skills

35

From: Your Profile

Your skills vs the job's stack. Required skills count double. Starred (primary) skills count more than the rest.

Seniority

10

From: Your Scout

The job's level is one you selected. If the posting doesn't say, you get half.

Location

10

From: Your Scout

The job is in, or open to, the countries and regions you chose.

Freshness

10

From: The job

Posted today gets all 10. Older posts slowly earn less, stale ones nothing.

Instant dealbreakers

These skip scoring entirely. No points, no match.

  • Wrong workplace type (you said remote, it's onsite)
  • A seniority level you didn't pick
  • A country outside your Scout's area
  • No relation to any of your roles
  • Posted more than 45 days ago

Example

Senior Kotlin Developer, remote in Europe, posted today. Role 35 + Skills 28 + Seniority 10 + Location 10 + Freshness 10 = 93%, Great match.
